One Platform, Every Happening: How Eventbuz Wants to Redefine Discovery in the Events Economy
Travelers seeking new environments and experiences shouldn’t have to juggle fragmented and outdated platforms just to discover local events. That is the single premise on which Eventbuz was built. Founded by Imad Fadel, the company operates as an all-in-one event software, ticketing, and digital marketing ecosystem designed to connect users, organizers, venues, places, and suppliers through a single platform.
Positioned as both a B2B and B2C ecosystem and international marketplace, Eventbuz combines event planning tools, ticketing systems, venue management, supplier directories, and location-based discovery into one experience intended to simplify how people engage with live events.
“Imagine you are traveling to multiple destinations and have one application in your pocket that you can use worldwide,” Fadel adds, “a single guide that helps you discover things to do, places to visit, and local experiences wherever you are. It is like having the UBER, or the Airbnb for events”
Fadel believes the events industry has spent years working through disconnected systems that make discovery harder than it should be. Social media, he notes, often buries listings between ads and unrelated content. Event organizers tend to juggle multiple tools, Fadel says, “as an organizer with Eventbuz, you can do much more with much less.” Eventbuz provides a ‘one-stop shop’ combining event software, ticketing, promotion, classified digital marketing social network, and analysis, with competitive pricing and a user-friendly experience. Consequently, he adds, “users waste time scrolling through noise without being able to find what they are looking for, based on their preferred date, time, and location.”
Eventbuz emerged as Fadel’s answer to that fragmentation. The platform combines a B2B and B2C international event marketplace designed around what Fadel calls ‘happenings.’ “For us, happenings can be anything happening in a place at a time,” Fadel says. “These include concerts which sit alongside conferences, restaurant launches, exhibitions, workshops, themed hotel nights, and local community experiences.”
Launched in 2022, the platform serves internationally through companies established in the UK and Qatar. Fadel reflects, “Qatar is a second home to me. It has given me so much, and I wanted Eventbuz to emerge from Qatar. I feel it is a way to give back and contribute to this country.” Eventbuz is currently available through web access and mobile applications for iOS and Android devices. Earlier versions have been rolled out, allowing the team to validate the business model while adding features progressively.
“We wanted to build the core prototype, launch to validate the market, and then add features one by one,” he explains. And now, those features have cascaded from simple event management.
Among Eventbuz platform features, organizers can build seating plans through drag-and-drop systems, generate ticket templates, manage admissions, monitor engagement dashboards, handle invitations, contact management, and sell tickets directly through the platform. Venues can save seating configurations for reuse across multiple events, as well as share the venue seating with organizers. Moreover, suppliers providing services for the event industry and places where people may go can promote services within the ecosystem itself. Fadel states, “Eventbuz combines events, organizers, suppliers, and places all in one ecosystem.”
At the consumer level, the users can navigate between four different modes (Global, Local, Nearby, and Social Feeds) and four different views (Icon, List, Slide, and Map View) live ‘hot zones,’ category filters, date selections, and location-based recommendations. Travelers can search within a defined radius, narrow experiences by interest or budget, and book directly if ticketing is enabled or obtain booking details.
“Our tagline is that you get what you want in three clicks,” Fadel says.
With a background in engineering, entrepreneurship, quality management systems, and a master’s degree in design, Fadel approaches digital platforms through functionality and behavioral analysis. “I’m somebody who can see things from multiple angles and base my opinion on functionalities, facts, and aesthetics,” he says.
Fadel argues that consumers are becoming more protective of their attention and increasingly aware of how much time they spend navigating algorithm-heavy platforms. “The human brain is a processor,” he says. “It shouldn’t be optimized with unnecessary information or noise. On Eventbuz, we present the user with the information that they’re seeking.”
Eventbuz is being developed with AI-driven functionality intended to further reduce friction for organizers and users. Businesses will eventually be able to automate functionalities through AI-assisted prompts. As for the consumers, they could receive itinerary suggestions tied to geography, interests, schedules, and real-time happenings.
Fadel also sees loyalty as central to the platform’s long-term relationship with users. Eventbuz is currently building a tiered rewards system where engagement earns points that can later translate into discounts, platform credits, and purchases tied to events or merchandise. “We are doing it the other way around,” he says, “The more time you spend on our platform exploring and finding, the more points you gain.”
The company has already secured traction within the hospitality sector, working with brands including 5 Star Hotels, including W Hotels, Kempinski, Sheraton, and St. Regis, and other educational institutions, museums, hospitality, and entertainment venues. Fadel believes those partnerships helped establish trust among users and organizers alike.
The business model of Eventbuz has been validated in the Qatar Market and secured local market shares. The platform, according to Fadel, has grown in revenue with an average of 200-300% year to year, alongside an average of 15% of App Downloads. Now the company is ready for broader international expansion to penetrate different markets through investment partnerships and regional collaborations. Fadel remarks, “I know what value Eventbuz brings. The growth in revenues, users, and database has proven its profitable business model with good ROI for investment, which we are seeking currently to scale further.”
Eventbuz’s slogan, “I post, you book, we click,” highlights the larger ambition is not simply to build another event platform, but to create an ecosystem that simplifies the connection between parties within the event industry.
