[SINGAPORE] Oil prices extended losses on Monday (Jul 27), falling more than 5 per cent, after US President Donald Trump paused strikes on Iran after two weeks of attacks, raising hopes of a diplomatic solution that may de-escalate the conflict in the Middle East.
Brent crude futures slipped US$5.58, or 5.77 per cent, to US$91.20 by 2204 GMT while US West Texas Intermediate crude was at US$84.40 a barrel, down US$4.91, or 5.50 per cent. REUTERS
