Data centre operator DayOne raises US$4.5 billion in Series C funding
New investors include sovereign wealth fund Indonesia Investment Authority and Achi Capital Partners
[SINGAPORE] Data centre operator DayOne announced on Friday (Jun 5) that it has raised US$4.5 billion in the final closing of its Series C financing round.
It was led by existing investors Coatue and Hillhouse, which are now DayOne’s two largest shareholders.
New investors include sovereign wealth fund Indonesia Investment Authority and Achi Capital Partners.
The Business Times understands that Temasek-backed 65 Equity Partners was part of the initiative.
This follows an earlier announced initial Series C fundraise of over US$2 billion in January 2026 and reports of DayOne considering a dual listing in Singapore and the US.
The data centre operator, which has its headquarters in Singapore, has secured over 1.5 gigawatts in bookings for capacity in Asia-Pacific and Europe.
The funding will be used to accelerate expansion in key markets such as Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
“DayOne may continue to consider additional equity and debt financing options in the private and public markets, subject to its funding needs, market conditions and other considerations,” said the company.
