Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith’s Daughter Stella Makes Rare Red Carpet Appearance

Antonio Banderas and Stella Banderas Griffith aren’t getting crazy in Toronto.

But the father-daughter duo did have a great evening while attending the premiere of Up Against It during the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 17.

For the rare outing, Stella supported Antonio—who shares the 29-year-old with ex-wife Melanie Griffith—in a black long-sleeved, asymmetric dress featuring draping along the bust and bodice. Meanwhile, the actor matched perfectly in a black suit and a printed button-up. The pair also accessorized with chic sunglasses.

Although Stella was sure to cheer on the 66-year-old—also stepdad to Melanie’s stepson Jesse Johnson, 43, son Alexander Bauer, 41, and daughter Dakota Johnson, 36—at the annual film festival, she isn’t too interested in following in his acting footsteps. In fact, she earned her only acting credit in Antonio’s directorial debut, Crazy in Alabama (1999), opposite her mom.

“Stella is not so much of an actress,” Antonio explained to HELLO! magazine in January 2025. “She wants to be behind the camera, and she’s driving herself into that. She has made some commercials.”
