Amazon MGM Studios Has Animated ‘Mad Hatter’ Movie In Works From Scott Mosier
EXCLUSIVE: Amazon MGM Studios‘ has an animated Mad Hatter movie in the works from Clerks producer and actor Scott Mosier who is set to adapt.
Plot details are under wraps. The Mad Hatter is the strange top hat wearing guy who Alice runs into in Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland. He holds a tea party with the March Hare and the Dormouse. Adam Nagle is producing through Aniventure. Negotiations, we understand, were led by Aniventure Chief Content Officer Joe Della Rosa and Frankfurt Kernit’s Sasha Levites and Adam Macy.
Mosier wrote and produced the 2013 animated movie Free Birds and voiced Pizza Dude. He also directed Illumination’s 2018 feature take of Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch which made over a half billion at the global box office. He also co-directed Illumination’s Minions & More 2. He also appeared in Clerks III as well as Kevin Clark’s entire Clerks franchise, and provided voices for Sing 2, Secret Life of Pets II, and The Grinch.

Established in 2014, Aniventure has developed, produced and distributed films with several studios, including Amazon, Netflix, Paramount, and Sony on its feature and series projects.
