The late-night show took a break for the Thanksgiving holiday, but it is set to come back in December for a trio of shows to close out the year in a wickedly spectacular way.
SNL‘s Season 51 guest hosts so far have included Bad Bunny, Amy Poehler, Sabrina Carpenter, Miles Teller, Nikki Glaser, and Glen Powell. Powell hosted the last new episode on November 15.

Following the Thanksgiving break, SNL returns to NBC on Saturday, December 6 at 11:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. PT.
Who is confirmed as guest host and musical guest for the Saturday Night Live December 2025 episodes?
December 6: Melissa McCarthy will guest host with Dijon set as musical guest.
December 13: Josh O’Conner will guest host with Lily Allen set as musical guest.
December 20: Ariana Grande will guest host with Cher set as musical guest.

Grande’s appearance on SNL in December will mark her fifth time hosting the late-night sketch show. She will appear on the NBC comedy show following the release of Wicked: For Good and a year after hosting in October 2024. The Wicked star will star alongside Cher, who is musical guest that night. In early 2025, Cher performing during the SNL 50th Anniversary Homecoming special. She first appeared on the show in a 1987 episode hosted by Candice Bergen.
The Christmas episode of SNL and the last one of the year will presumably also feature the joke swap between Weekend Update anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che where the duo write jokes for each other.
