What time does ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 come out? Release date, release schedule and more

Stranger Things Season 5 is almost here. After nearly a decade of following Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and his noble party, Hopper (David Harbour), Joyce (Winona Ryder), and dozens of other characters we love, the time has come for the Netflix hit to come to an end. But when exactly does Stranger Things 5 come out?

Stranger Things Season 4 completely upended everything we knew about the Upside Down, introducing Vecna as the show’s true big bad. Through flashbacks, we learned about how young Henry Creel turned on his family, became Dr. Brenner’s (Matthew Modine) first test subject, and eventually transformed into the villainous Vecna.

Stranger Things Season 4 ends with Hawkins, Indiana being literally split open by the evil powers of the Upside Down. Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) can feel Vecna’s presence closing in, threatening to destroy not just Hawkins, but the whole world.

So what happens next? Will Eleven finally defeat Vecna? Will Hawkins succumb to the Upside Down? Will Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) finally die? Will Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” be played again? How will Stranger Things end? Here’s everything you need to know to watch Stranger Things Season 5…

How to Watch Stranger Things:

Stranger Things is a Netflix exclusive, which means you need a Netflix account to watch it. Don’t have Netflix yet? No sweat!

How Did Stranger Things Season 4 End?

Stranger Things Season 4 ended with Eleven facing down Vecna in the Creel house. She managed to gravely injure the superpowered villain, but it was unclear if Vecna truly died.

Fan favorite Eddie Munson sacrificed himself in the Upside Down, playing Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” to lure the monstrous bats away from the rest of the heroes. (Some fans theorize, or simply hope, that Eddie will return reincarnated as one of Vecna’s lieutenants.)

Max briefly died while under Vecna’s control. Eleven managed to use her powers to revive her bestie, but Max remained in a coma.

After the battle, Will felt Vecna’s presence, proving he was still alive. Then a massive fissure ruptured the ground in Hawkins and the Upside Down began “invading” our world.
