Wall St opens mixed as investors weigh data, Middle East war

[NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main stock indexes opened mixed on Friday (Mar 13), after sharp losses in the previous session, while investors assessed a set of economic data releases to gauge the interest rate outlook as the Middle East conflict widens.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 11.4 points, or 0.02 per cent, at the open to 46,689.24.

The S&P 500 fell 0.9 points, or 0.01 per cent, at the open to 6,673.49​, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 113.7 points, or 0.51 per cent, to 22,425.704 at the opening bell. REUTERS
