Wall St opens lower ahead of Trump’s Iran deadline

[NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main indexes opened lower open on Tuesday (Apr 7) as investors assessed comments from the US and Iran for any clues on where the conflict was headed, before President Donald Trump’s deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 74.9 points, or 0.16 per cent, at the open to 46,744.76.
The S&P 500 fell 9.9 points, or 0.15 per cent, to 6,601.93, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 69.2 points, or 0.31 per cent, to 21,927.087. REUTERS
