Wall St opens lower after Trump’s comments dent Iran resolution hopes

[NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main indexes opened lower on Thursday (Apr 2), in the last session of a holiday-truncated week, after President Donald Trump signalled more aggressive attacks on Iran, dampening expectations for a swift end to the Middle East conflict.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 96.4 points, or 0.21 per cent, at the open to 46,469.36.
The S&P 500 fell 62.7 points, or 0.95 per cent, at the open to 6,512.61, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 368.4 points, or 1.69 per cent, to 21,472.523 at the opening bell. REUTERS
