Verve Signs ‘Marty Supreme’s Emory Cohen
EXCLUSIVE: Verve has signed actor Emory Cohen for representation.
Currently appearing in A24’s Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie, Cohen has a track record of working with top auteur filmmakers. Other recent projects in that category include Jeremy Saulnier’s chart-topping Netflix action thriller Rebel Ridge, Jeff Nichols’ Focus Features pic The Bikeriders, Derek Cianfrance’s Roofman for Paramount, and Justin Chon’s Blue Bayou.
Previously, Cohen made his mark with John Crowley’s Brooklyn, playing Saoirse Ronan’s love interest, as well as Cianfrance’s father-son crime drama The Place Beyond the Pines, where he starred opposite Bradley Cooper, Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes and Dane DeHaan.
Additional feature credits for Cohen include Jonas Åkerlund’s Lords of Chaos and David Michôd’s Netflix pic War Machine, as well as Stealing Cars, The Gambler, Beneath the Harvest Sky, Four, Detour, Vincent-N-Roxxy, Shot Caller, Hot Summer Nights, Flashback, American Outlaws, The Wolf Hour, Sweetheart, Killerman, and The Duel.
In television, Cohen has recently been seen in the Netflix limited series Florida Man, which had Jason Bateman among its EPs, starring opposite Édgar Ramírez. Prior to that, he starred opposite Brit Marling in her Netflix mystery drama The OA, produced by Plan B and Anonymous Content, as well as The Loudest Voice, a seven-part limited series starring Russell Crowe as late Fox News boss Roger Ailes.
