‘The Mindy Project’ Star Ed Weeks Cast In CBS Pilot ‘Eternally Yours’

Ed Weeks (The Mindy Project) has joined the leading cast of the CBS pilot Eternally Yours, from Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, showrunners and executive producers of the hit comedy Ghosts. Weeks will portray the character of Charles on the single-camera comedy set to shoot in early 2026.

Eternally Yours will tell an eternal love story about two vampires who have been married for five hundred years, and their struggles to accept the human who is dating their daughter.

Weeks’ character Charles is one half of a vampire couple that is currently locked in the fifth century of an interminable marriage (the other half being his wife Liz). Nobility back in the Middle Ages, Charles is now a pencil pusher who, along with his family, has to move every few years to avoid attracting attention to the fact that they never age. Charles disdains modernity and the weak-minded humans who inhabit it, which makes it all the worse when he learns his vampire daughter is now dating one.

Port and Wiseman are writers and executive producers of Eternally Yours. Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang also EP on the CBS Studios title.

Weeks is a British writer and performer best known for starring as Dr. Jeremy Reed in Hulu’s The Mindy Project.  He can currently be seen starring opposite Meghann Fahy in the Blumhouse x Universal thriller, Drop, which premiered at SXSW. Up next, he will star in the comedy Damned If You Do opposite Kate Siegel and Harvey Guillen. Additional feature credits include Paramount+’s French Girl opposite Zach Braff, the HBO feature film The Leisure Class, produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. TV credits include the FBC series LA To Vegas, Channel 4’s The IT Crowd, Dirty Sexy Funny (Comedy Central), and The BBC’s MY FAMILY and Not Going Out. He is repped by Curate, WME, and Yorn Levine.
