Texas Attorney General sues Xcel Energy over role in Smokehouse Creek Fire

The Texas Office of the Attorney General, or OAG, announced Tuesday that it has sued Minnesota-based electric company Xcel Energy for its role in the 2024 Smokehouse Creek Fire, which was the biggest wildfire in state history.
