SWAT responding to scene in northeast Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police Department SWAT officers are responding to a scene in northeast Austin in the Harris Ridge area.

APD posted on X at 1:21 p.m. that SWAT officers were on the scene of a “barricaded subject” in the 12800 block of Bartholdi Street. That area is just north of East Parmer Lane near Dessau Road.

Police said roadways in the area may be blocked off and drivers should plan their route accordingly.
