‘Supergirl’ Trailer Takes Off: Watch Milly Alcock As Kara Zor-El

It’s finally here, the first trailer for DC Studios’ next big summer movie, Supergirl, starring House of Dragon‘s Milly Alcock in the title role as Superman’s cousin — who has a drinking problem.

Fans caught a glimpse of Alcock as Supergirl at the end of James Gunn’s Superman when she stumbles into the Man of Steel’s fortress of solitude.

The movie, directed by Craig Gillespie, is based on the Tom King’s 2022 comic book series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which Bilquis Evely illustrated, and Ana Nogueira adapted the comic book for the big screen. In the comic, Supergirl and young alien girl Knolle travel across the galaxy to hunt Krem of the Yellow Hill after he kills Knolle’s father in cold blood. It’s been billed among fans as being akin to the John Wayne classic, True Grit.

Supergirl happens in theaters on June 26, 2026.
