‘Stranger Things’ Fans Experience Temporary Netflix Outage As Season 5 Debuts
As Stranger Things begins its final descent into the Upside Down, Netflix was slightly overwhelmed with the show’s loyal fans.
Several viewers took to social media moments after the Season 5 of the Duffer Bros‘ show premiere on Wednesday night, complaining about the streaming platform freezing, but the technical difficulties appeared to be short-lived.
“Stranger Things already crashed nice!” wrote one viewer on X.
“This Netflix crashing, I just wanted to watch Stranger Things,” another posted while one user echoed, “My Netflix froze, damn it, everyone’s logging in to watch Stranger Things.”
Shortly after writing, “Netflix seems to be down for me Nooooooo,” another fan updated, “And it’s back up, here we go! “I’m staying off this app until I finish the new Stranger Things episodes because I don’t want to risk seeing any spoilers.”
The momentary outage came after the first four seasons of Stranger Things re-entered Netflix’s top ten television chart as fans binged the series in recent days in preparation for the final season.
