Smallville’s Tom Welling Makes Rare Appearance With Wife Jessica at Sundance Film Festival

It’s a bird, it’s a plane—it’s Tom Welling on a red carpet.

The Smallville alum made a rare red carpet appearance with his wife Jessica Rose Lee Welling at the premiere of his upcoming film Chasing Summer at Sundance Film Festival in Utah.

For the Jan. 26 event, Tom wore matching brown pants and shirt, a black and white polka dot scarf tied around his neck all under a black wool coat. 

Jessica, meanwhile, donned a long-sleeved black dress, styling the look with a chunky black ring and her blonde hair done in an updo, two pieces framing her face. 

The outing marks a rare occasion for the couple, who tied the knot in 2019. The last time Tom and Jessica—who share kids Thomson, 7, and Rocklin, 4—stepped out for pictures at an event together was in 2021, four months after welcoming their second child.

While at the premiere for Chasing Summer—which, in addition to Tom, stars Lola Tung, Megan Mullally and Cassidy Freeman—Jessica shared a video of her husband and costar Iliza Schlesinger, who also wrote the film’s screenplay.
