Shedeur Sanders has ‘dangerous’ message to haters after impressive first start

Shedeur Sanders was feeling himself after his NFL starting debut ended in a 24-10 Browns victory over the Raiders on Sunday.

“It’s amazing… after one week of practice,” Sanders said during his postgame interview with CBS Sports. “This is one week of practice. So imagine what a full offseason looks like… it gets dangerous. I’m just truly thankful that everything happened.”

Before the game, Sanders was asked by a CBS reporter what Browns fans should hope to see.

“I’m who they’ve been looking for,” he said.

Sanders threw for 209 yards and a touchdown in his first regular season start.

It came after a disastrous first NFL appearance last week, when he completed 4-of-16 passes for 47 yards and an interception in a 23-16 loss to the Ravens. Sanders entered the game after Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion.

The Browns (3-8) ended a three-game skid with their fifth-round pick out of Colorado at the helm with Gabriel still in the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Sanders was seen talking with his father, Pro Football Hall of Famer and Colorado football coach Deion Sanders, after the game.

Browns coach Kevin Stefanski wouldn’t commit to Sanders as the starter when Cleveland hosts San Francisco next Sunday.

“I’m not going to get into that,” Stefanski said. “Proud of him and proud of this offense. There are a ton of things to learn from, but I’m just going to worry about today.”

The Browns’ defense dominated the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium

Veteran defensive end Myles Garrett had three of the defense’s 10 sacks.
