Scott Foley, Amy Brenneman, Meta Golding & Sydney Taylor Lead Mark Rosman’s ‘Keep Coming Back’ Film Cast

Filming is underway for Mark Rosman‘s Keep Coming Back with Scott Foley (Scandal and Will Trent), Amy Brenneman (The Old Man), Meta Golding (Ransom Canyon), and Sydney Taylor (Marked Men).

The independent film shooting in Salt Lake City, Utah, is inspired by Rosman’s story of substance use disorder and recovery.

Foley is set to play Miles, a busy television director and loving father with a controlling nature motivated by good intentions, who discovers his 17-year-old daughter Zoe (Taylor) has been using hard drugs.

When Miles sends Zoe to a rehab facility in Utah, he learns he must also attend a four-day workshop, or else his daughter will not be able to stay. In Utah, Miles joins a group led by Gillian (Brenneman), a no-nonsense leader who dishes out authoritative wisdom with a quirky passion born from her personal experiences. Through her insightful and unconventional techniques, Miles learns that he also needs to examine his behavior and change.

Golding is set to play Shelby, a single mother grappling with her son’s substance use disorder.

Rosman is set as director, writer, and producer of Keep Coming Back. His previous works include the Hilary Duff-starring A Cinderella Story and Lizzie McGuire, as well as Universal’s The Perfect Man and Disney Channel’s Life-Size.

“Keep Coming Back is inspired by my family’s own experience with our daughter’s past struggle with substance use disorder,” Rosman said. “I have written and directed numerous films and series; this one is different for me because I have lived it.”

Rosman calls the indie film a “passion project” which he hopes “will bring help, hope and healing to those suffering through this difficult journey,” adding, “I learned that when I examined my own behavior and made changes, that opened a space for our daughter’s recovery. She has been leading a happy, healthy life for many years which is a true gift.”

Producing alongside Rosman is David M. Wulf, whose recent projects include the Reed Van Dyk film Atonement, Paul Schrader’s The Basics of Philosophy, and Arcadian. Wulf’s upcoming projects include Christophe Gans’ Return to Silent Hill and high-concept indie Wardriver.

Geralyn Dreyfous (Navalny) and Amy Redford (What Comes Around) are attached as executive producers.
