Saban Films Appoints Former Tubi & IFC Exec Sarah Corrigan As Senior Director Of Distribution
EXCLUSIVE: Saban Films has appointed former Tubi and IFC Films exec Sarah Corrigan as Senior Director of Distribution with a mandate to help drive the company’s expansion into direct distribution and strategic growth.
Corrigan joins from AVOD firm Tubi, where she led independent film licensing and original film acquisitions. During her tenure, she brokered content deals with companies including A24, Neon, Saban, WME, and CJ Entertainment.
In her new role, Corrigan will “build and oversee Saban Films’ direct distribution strategy, including partnerships and analytics. She will also spearhead the company’s expansion into direct transactional distribution and will contribute to acquisitions strategy and greenlight decisions”. Her appointment is effective immediately.
Earlier in her career, she was part of AMC Networks’ IFC Films New Business Development team, supporting strategic distribution and growth initiatives.
“Sarah brings a rare combination of strategic insight, strong relationships, and hands-on deal-making experience across both the AVOD and transactional ecosystems,” said Saban Co-Presidents Jonathan Saba and Shanan Becker. “Her forward-thinking approach and proven track record make her the ideal leader to guide Saban Films into its next phase of growth.”
“I’m excited to join a team that continues to push the distribution landscape forward,” said Corrigan. “Saban Films has built one of the strongest independent distribution models in the industry, and I’m thrilled to help expand that vision even further.”
U.S. distributor Saban has built a library of 250 titles. It has also expanded its global footprint through distribution partnerships in Austria, France, Germany, Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, the UK, Ireland, Benelux, and Switzerland. Recent domestic releases include Knox Goes Away starring Michael Keaton and The Unholy Trinity starring Pierce Brosnan and Samuel L. Jackson.
