‘Notice Me’ Exec Produced By Lena Dunham Among Projects Set For Glasgow Film Festival’s Industry Lab
Filmmaker Amy Leonard’s comedy project Notice Me, exec-produced by Lena Dunham, is among the titles that have been selected to be included in the industry labs at the 2026 Glasgow Film Festival.
Glasgow runs three flagship talent development labs: Animatic for animated projects, Funny Features for comedy projects, and the New Talent Mentorship Scheme.
Funny Features and Animatic both culminate with a live pitch during the Glasgow Film Festival’s Industry Focus conference, which runs from 2 to 6 March. Animatic participants will also compete for Best Short, Best TV Series, and Best Feature cash prizes, and one filmmaking team taking part in Funny Features will be eligible for the Curzon Creates Award, which comes with a meeting with Kristian Brodie, Head of Development at Curzon, to discuss their project’s next steps.
Across all three projects, the labs will support the development of 15 feature films, five TV series, and five shorts from filmmakers across the UK. The festival said this is their biggest cohort of filmmakers.
Filmmaker Jonas Poher Rasmussen (Flee), producer Debbie Gray (Good Luck to You, Leo Grande), director Julia Jackman (100 Nights of Hero), and Charlotte Regan (Scrapper) are among the names confirmed as mentors across the festival’s three industry labs.
Notice Me will take part in Funny Features. The project will be directed by Australian filmmaker Amy Leonard, with Lena Dunham executive producing. The pair worked together on Dunham’s Netflix series Too Much. Leonard is credited as Dunham’s assistant on that show.
