Macmillan To Publish Tomi Adeyemi’s Next Novel ‘The Siren’ In September

EXCLUSIVE: Henry Holt and Co., an imprint of Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group, is set to publish The Siren, the next standalone book by Children of Blood and Bone author Tomi Adeyemi. The novel is set to come out on September 29.

Plot details are vague other then it being described as a dark academia young adult novel with a supernatural edge that will leave readers breathless. It blends shocking contemporary elements with a sinister dark flare to create a blockbuster about power, mental health, and survival with Tomi drawing inspiration directly from her life.

“The Siren is the book of my soul. It is the rawest, most heartbreaking and most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced writing,” said Adeyemi.

Adey is known for her New York Times-bestselling series, which includes Children of Blood and Bone, Children of Virtue and Vengeance, and Children of Anguish and Anarchy. Since 2018, the trilogy has sold over 3 million copies around the world.

“This is a category-defying, genre-bending novel. It is beautiful, ugly, fantastic, real, raw, horrifying, romantic, and we can’t wait for you to read it. ” said Jean Feiwel, Senior Vice-President and Publisher
