Kelly Stafford Extends ‘The Morning After’ Podcast Break To Focus On Family As Matthew Stafford Is “In The Middle Of One Hell Of A Season” With LA Rams

Kelly Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, has extended her break from her weekly podcast, The Morning After.

In a social media post, Kelly shared that she will continue her hiatus to focus on her family.

“I feel this pull to get back to my roots, and to do that, I have to pour into the people I love most,” Kelly posted on Instagram. “l’ve got a husband in the middle of one hell of a season, and I want to be fully locked in with him. I want to be present for my girls. I want to give my whole heart to the people who have always given theirs to me.”

Kelly’s last original episode of The Morning After was released on October 2, where she addressed that she would be taking a break from podcasting, citing mental health concerns.

“For right now, just for somewhat of my mental health and it’s also midseason, there has been changes in this podcast,” she said on the podcast. “I just think I need to take a step back and kind of figure out what the plan is. I’m not saying this is over. I really need a second.”

In her post to fans today, Kelly said she started her podcast to help other moms out there “feel seen” as she was “so damn tired of social media pretending everything was perfect,” adding, “And that hasn’t changed. If anything, it’s even more true now. This space has been exactly what I needed. It has been unbelievably good for me and more importantly…my family.”

Kelly also said that this wasn’t a “goodbye… it’s a ‘see y’all later,” citing she was “excited for whatever the next chapter of TMA becomes someday.”

“Thank you for letting me grow, change, fall apart, rebuild, and evolve right alongside you. Thank you for loving me through all my versions,” she added.

Kelly mentioned her husband, Matthew, is having a fantastic season with the Rams, with many football commentators citing him as the MVP player of the year. The Rams are currently atop the NFC with a 9-2 record.
