Kangaroo wearing a red jacket found hopping in Central Texas

FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas —  On Thursday, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office made a post on social media reaching out to see if anyone was missing a kangaroo.

FCSO said a deputy responded to a loose kangaroo wearing a red jacket in the area of Farek-Loth Road and FM 609.

Around 5 p.m. Thursday, officials said the kangaroo’s owner had been found and the animal was returned.

“Yes we are serious… we couldn’t make this up if we wanted to,” FCSO’s post said.
