Jonathan Groff Sets Exit Date For Broadway Musical ‘Just In Time’
Jonathan Groff will play his final performance as Bobby Darin in the jukebox musical Just In Time on March 29, 2026, almost a year to the day the show first began its performances on Broadway.
Groff, the Tony nominee for his work in Spring Awakening, Hamilton and Merrily We Roll Along, was nominated for a Best Actor Tony Award for playing the crooner in Just In Time, which has been rolling along merrily at the Circle in the Square Theatre since beginning previews March 31, 2025, and opening April 26.
Producers Tom Kirdahy, Robert Ahrens and John Frost said Groff’s replacement will be announced at a later date.
A new block of tickets are now on sale through Groff’s final performance.

Earlier in the fall, Tony nominee Gracie Lawrence departed her original role as Connie Francis, replaced by Modern Family alum Sarah Hyland, while Sadie Dickerson took over for Erika Henningsen as Sandra Dee.
The musical is developed and directed by Tony winner Alex Timbers from a book by Warren Leight and Isaac Oliver, with music supervision and arrangements by Andrew Resnick, orchestrations by Andrew Resnick and Michael Thurber, choreography by Shannon Lewis and is based on an original concept by Ted Chapin.
