Is ‘9-1-1’ on tonight? Here’s when the next new episode of ‘9-1-1’ airs on ABC and Hulu

This Thanksgiving, TV fans have so many incredible series to be thankful for, including ABC’s hit 9-1-1 franchise, of course.

Since 9-1-1 Season 9 and the debut season of it new spinoff 9-1-1: Nashville premiered back in October, Thursday nights have been devoted to back-to-back adventures of the 118 and 113 firehouses. But last week, neither show aired a new episode. So is 9-1-1 back in business tonight? And if not, how long do we have to wait for new episodes?

For those who need a refresher, 9-1-1 Season 9, Episode 6,”Family History,” left viewers on a major cliffhanger, with Hen (Aisha Hinds) getting a CT scan alone after mysteriously collapsing and experiencing a number of concerning symptoms following her return from space. So naturally, we need to know what happens next ASAP!

Is 9-1-1 on tonight, November 27? Is 9-1-1 Season 9 over already? How many episodes are in 9-1-1 Season 9? And when does 9-1-1 return with new episodes on ABC? We’ve got answers!

Is 9-1-1 On Tonight (November 27)?

Sadly, no! ABC aired three 9-1-1: Nashville reruns last week in place of new episodes, but this Thursday, November 27 (aka Thanksgiving), the network will be airing the beloved 1964 film, Mary Poppins, starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET.

Is 9-1-1 Season 9 Over?

Also no! Thankfully, 9-1-1 is only on hiatus for a few weeks and will return with new episodes in 2026.

When Does 9-1-1 Return With New Episodes? 9-1-1 Season 9, Episode 7 Premiere Date:

So when does 9-1-1 return with new episodes on ABC? After its midseason finale aired on November 13, 9-1-1 went on hiatus and will be taking several weeks in November and the full month of December off. Unfortunately, there won’t be any more new episodes of 9-1-1 airing in 2025, but fear not! In 2026, 9-1-1 will be back with new episodes ASAP on Thursday, January 8, right before the midseason return of 9-1-1: Nashville.
