Nikki Glaser Reveals Taylor Swift Easter Egg in Golden Globes 2026 Opening Monologue
The 2026 Golden Globes kept it all in the family.
At the end of the Jan. 11 award ceremony—which awarded trophies to Timothée Chalamet, Rose Byrne, Seth Rogen and more—host Nikki Glaser honored late actor/director Rob Reiner with a touching tribute.
In her final moment as host, Glaser took the stage in a black baseball cap reading Spinal Tap, the 1984 film that served as Reiner’s feature directorial debut. Her fashion choice offered a subtle nod to Reiner—who was killed alongside wife Michele Singer Reiner in a fatal stabbing at their home in Los Angeles last month—along with her references to famous lines from the mockumentary.
“That’s our show. This one went to 11,” the comedian said on stage at the Beverly Hilton hotel. “Thank you guys for an amazing night and I hope we found the line between clever and stupid. A good Chalamet to you all! Good night.”
Indeed, Glaser said she really tried to balance respectfulness with humor during her second time hosting the ceremony.
