‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’: Watch First Trailer For Billie Eilish 3D Concert Film From James Cameron & Paramount

Here’s your good-loooking first trailer for Billie Eilish‘ 3D concert film Hit Me Hard And Soft, directed by James Cameron and set to be released by Paramount on March 20, 2026.

Described as “an innovative new concert experience”, the film will chart Eilish’ latest hit tour. Avatar director Cameron claims in the trailer that “no one has ever shot a concert film on this scale before” and that “we’re using tech no one has ever used before”. He also asks Eilish about “carrying a lot of pain” with her during the tour. Pic is a Lightstorm Earth, Darkroom Records and Interscope Films production.

The film follows the singer’s previous concert film Live at the O2 back in 2023, however, that was only a limited release. Eilish is now targeting IMAX, large format and other cinemas on a bigger scale and will be hoping to come close to the success of the Taylor Swift: Eras Tour movie which made $180.7M domestic, $261.6M worldwide.

It’s been a while since Paramount released a concert film in theaters. One of the more notable ones in the millennium was the 2011 Justin Bieber: Never Say Never 3D concert movie which racked up $73M at the domestic box office (after a $29.5M opening) and close to $100M worldwide.

Cameron has Avatar: Fire and Ash coming out on Dec. 19. Talk about an opportune time to trailer his Eilish concert movie before millions.

Hit Me Hard and Soft is Eilish’s third studio album. At the 67th Annual Grammy Awards earlier this year, the album and its songs received a total of seven nominations, including Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Song of the Year and Record of the Year. At the 68th Grammy Awards on Feb. 1, 2026, the single “Wildflower” from the album was nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
