Eminem Makes Surprise Appearance On Fox’s NFL Thanksgiving Halftime Show Alongside Jack White

Thanksgiving’s NFL slate is giving the Super Bowl a run when it comes to its musical half-time guests.

Jack White was the musical guest at the Detroit Lions game against the Green Bay Packers were up 17-14 against the Detroit Lions, and he was joined by a surprise guest: Eminem.

The rapper joined The White Stripes co-founder on stage as his Lions were down 17-14. Even Tom Brady sounded surprised.

White kicked off the show with “That’s How I’m Feeling” from his 2024 record No Name before Eminem joined him for a run through Hello Operator, from The White Stripes’ 2000 record De Stijl, and a remix of Eminem’s own “‘Till I Collapse”, from the rapper’s 2002 album The Eminem Show. Then White went into his stadium anthem “Seven Nation Army”.

While the move was a surprise, perhaps it shouldn’t have been, given that Eminem, otherwise known as Marshall Mathers, struck a multi-year deal with the Lions earlier this month.

The pact puts the rapper, and his manager Paul Rosenberg, in charge of musical performances at its Thanksgiving games through 2027.

The performance was produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment, which produced The Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show featuring Kendrick Lamar earlier this year as well as Netflix’s Beyonce Bowl, which saw the singer perform during last year’s NFL Christmas Gameday during the game between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens.

The Lions and Packers game was also being streamed for free on Fox-owned AVOD platform Tubi. The streamer also aired the Super Bowl earlier this year.
