Bobby Flay Reveals Meaning Behind Girlfriend Brooke Williamson’s Diamond Ring

Bobby Flay and Brooke Williamson are cooking up a great romance—but marriage isn’t part of the recipe.

The Food Network star sparked speculation that he had proposed to the Top Chef winner when he posted a photo of her slipping her hand into her jeans pocket with a diamond ring on that finger, but now he’s clearing up the true meaning of the sparkler.

“It’s a commitment ring,” Bobby told Elvis Duran during the Nov. 24 episode of Elvis Duran and the Morning Show while sitting next to daughter Sophie, 29, who he shares with ex Kate Connelly. “I’m not engaged.”

“We both don’t want to get married again,” he went on. “It’s great having a life partner, and so I wanted to give her something significant to make her feel committed. That’s all.”

After Elvis pointed out that Bobby has “a beautiful, beautiful family,” the Beat Bobby Flay star shared his hopes of creating a blended family with Brooke and her son Hudson, who she shares with ex-husband Nick Roberts.

“Yes, I do, but Brooke also has a 17-year-old son,” he explained. “It’s all coming together like The Brady Bunch.”
