Bilt Credit Card 2.0 Launches With 10% Credit, Points on Rent and Mortgages
Bilt, which operates a rewards platform centered on housing payments, has launched Bilt Card 2.0—a suite of three new credit cards that, for the first time, will allow members to earn rewards on both rent and mortgage payments.
To mark the launch, all three cards offer a 10 percent introductory Annual Percentage Rate (APR) for the first 12 months, meaning cardholders will pay only 10 percent interest during that period instead of the higher standard rate.
Bilt 2.0 Explained
Bilt Card 2.0 is offering industry-first features, which include the ability to earn points not just on rent, but on mortgage payments too.
According to Ankur Jain, Founder and CEO of Bilt, “This is a win for renters. This is a win for homeowners. This is a win for Americans. Bilt Card 2.0 offers rewards on your rent, rewards on your mortgage, and earns you the most valuable points in the market. We’re not just launching three new cards, we’re rewarding the way people actually live.”
Which Bilt Card Should I Get?
The Bilt 2.0 credit card line-up is structured into three tiers—Palladium, Obsidian, and Blue— each tailored to different styles and levels of spending:
The Bilt Palladium Card
Bilt Palladium is a premium card, aimed at high spenders who are seeking premium perks, like airport lounge access or purchase protection.
It carries a $495 annual fee, which the company says is more than offset by $600 in yearly credits—split between $400 in Bilt Travel hotel credits and $200 in Bilt Cash—and a 50,000‑point welcome bonus awarded after cardholders meet the qualifying spend requirement. In addition to these upfront incentives, the Palladium earns 2X points on everyday non‑housing purchases.
The Bilt Obsidian Card
Bilt Obsidian provides a balance of dining, grocery, and travel rewards. It has a $95 annual fee, allowing users to earn 3x points on dining or groceries (up to $25,000 a year), 2x points on travel, and 1x points on other, everyday spending. It also includes $100 in annual Bilt Travel Hotel credits and a $200 Bilt Cash sign-on reward.
The Bilt Blue Card
With no annual fee, Bilt Blue is for users seeking no-fee flexibility while still being able to earn points on both rent and mortgage payments. Cardholders get 1x points per dollar on all charges, 4 percent Bilt Cash on everyday purchases, and $100 in Bilt Cash when signing up.
How Does Bilt Cash for Rewards Work?
Bilt Cash is the currency that underpins the new rewards ecosystem, where users can earn 4 percent Bilt Cash back on non-housing (everyday) spending. This cash can then be converted into points on rent or mortgage payments: For every $30 in Bilt Cash accrued, users unlock 1,000 Bilt Points when making housing payments—with no transaction fees.
Bilt Cash can also be spent, dollar-for-dollar, on travel, dining, rideshare services, and additional experiences within the Bilt ecosystem.
What Happens Next?
Bilt says that existing cardholders will need to opt in to transition to one of the new cards by January 30, 2026, if they want to claim the benefits of Bilt 2.0, while the new suite will become available to everyone on February 7, 2026.
