Ana Navarro shuts down Sara Haines for calling ‘Heated Rivalry’ “adorable” on ‘The View’: “Yeah and you read ‘Playboy’ for the articles”

It seems like everybody is tuning into Heated Rivalry – even the ladies of The View.

Sara Haines gave Heated Rivalry stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams a shout out during Monday’s broadcast after the breakout actors made a hilarious appearance presenting at the Golden Globes Sunday evening.

“I love them so much and I am following every spotting I can find of the Heated Rivalry guys,” she gushed about the Canadian series that became an “international sensation” when it began streaming on HBO Max this fall. “It’s just adorable.”

However, Ana Navarro did not believe that Haines became a fan of the steamy new show because of how “adorable” she found it.

“It’s not adorable. It’s hot as hell,” she responded. “It’s a lot of steamy sex scenes.”

Haines continued, “Their love story is adorable, though!”

The Crave series has certainly taken the world by storm.

Adapted from Rachel Reid’s hockey romance Heated Rivalry, the new series chronicles the passionate affair between professional hockey players Shane Hollander (Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Storrie) throughout their careers, all while maintaining a tense rivalry on the ice and keeping their sexualities a secret.

But Navarro was not buying Haines’ innocent defense of the show.

“Yeah, yeah yeah,” she responded. “And you read Playboy for the articles.”

Even Sunny Hostin noted the series famously features “a lot of nakedness.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
