Epstein Assistant Said She Never Met Any Of His Victims. They Claim Otherwise.

Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime assistant told Congress recently that she had never met any of the girls he victimized. This week, some of those girls disputed that testimony.

CNN interviewed several Epstein survivors and asked for their thoughts o the testimony of Lesley Groff, who worked for Epstein from 2001 to July 2019, when he was indicted on sex trafficking charges. Epstein’s primary accomplice and former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, was convicted of sex trafficking and is serving a 20-year-sentence. Epstein killed himself in jail in July 2019 while still being held on the charges.

Epstein, a wealthy financier with ties to prominent individuals, pled guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution in 2008 and served a 13-month sentence. Once out of jail, he resumed his criminal activities.

CNN recalled that Groff told members of the House Oversight Committee that Epstein was a “master manipulator and deceiver.” She told the committee that he had kept the abuse a secret: “For 18 years, I worked for Dr. Jekyll but was never permitted to see the true Mr. Hyde.”

Groff also told the committee, according to ABC, that she had never met any of the girls Epstein abused, so she didn’t know how old they were. The network reported that Groff described Epstein’s daily massages as a “very small part” of her scheduling duties.

CNN interviewed six Epstein victims, all of whom disputed Groff’s assertion that she had not met them. “She’s lying,” Epstein survivor Marina Lacerda told CNN. “Just me and my friends, she’s met at least three or four of us.”

Sharlene Rochard told the outlet that she had met Groff more than once at different locations. And Lara Blume McGee, who was abused from 2001 to 2003, told CNN that she met Groff twice at Epstein’s townhouse.

In her testimony before Congress, Groff said that she had no information regarding the age of any of the girls she was setting appointments for, according to ABC News.

“You want us to believe that after 18 years working in the employ of Mr. Jeffrey Epstein that not on one occasion did you believe that any of your contacts in setting up these appointments with Jeffrey Epstein were either a minor or an underage person, correct?” Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, D-Ill., asked, according to ABC News.

“That is correct,” Groff replied.
