Kelly Ripa ribs Mark Consuelos for “reeking of cigars” after time spent in his “man cave”: “The dog got groomed, and you pet her, and then she smelled like cigars”

A celebratory cigar for Mark Consuelos did not go unnoticed by his wife Kelly Ripa—nor their dog, Lena.

Consuelos told viewers on Tuesday’s Live with Kelly and Mark about how he spent some of Monday (Feb. 16), locked away in his “man cave” watching he and Ripa’s Italian football club, Campobasso FC, defeat Vis Pesaro. He also teased a “huge game” coming up for their team on Sunday against Juventus Next Gen, though Ripa was curious if he would watch the game in the same manner he did on Monday.

“And will you emerge from your man cave reeking of cigars like you did yesterday?” she asked.

Consuelos cheekily replied, “Oh, you could smell that?”

According to Ripa, their dog Lena fell victim to the smell, as well.

“The dog got groomed, and you pet her, and then she smelled like cigars,” she quipped.

While Consuelos insisted that Lena “told [him] she likes that smell,” Ripa begged to differ.

“She told me to tell you that she’s lying to you,” she teased. “I picked up my dog, and I was like, ‘Oh, she’s cigar-scented.’”

Ultimately, Consuelos relished in his “decadent day.”

“Man, it was a decadent day yesterday,” he gushed. “I had a cigar, watched soccer, we won. It was good.”

Despite the smoky smells, Ripa was happy her husband enjoyed his day.

“Oh good, I’m glad. I’m glad for you,” she said.
