‘The Miniature Wife’ Starring Elizabeth Banks & Matthew Macfadyen Sets Premiere Date; First-Look Teaser
Peacock has released a first-look teaser and set an April 9 premiere date for The Miniature Wife, starring and executive produced by Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen.
Based on the short story written by Manuel Gonzales, The Miniature Wife is a dramedy examining the power (im)balances between spouses after a technological accident induces the ultimate relationship crisis.
A crisis is putting it mildly. Macfadyen and Banks star as Les and Lindy, a couple trying to keep their marriage together. The wrinkle is that Les has accidentally shrunk Lindy to six inches high, adding a high-concept twist to the relationship drama.
Banks and Macfadyen are joined by an ensemble cast including series regulars O-T Fagbenle, Zoe Lister-Jones, Sian Clifford and Sofia Rosinsky. Ronny Chieng, Aasif Mandvi, Rong Fu and Tricia Black recur.
Michael Aguilar (I’m Dying Up Here, Kidding, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels) and Suzanne Heathcote (The Crowded Room, Killing Eve) executive produce alongside Banks and Macfadyen. Greg Mottola (Superbad, The Daytrippers) directs and executive produces. Media Res is the studio.
