AMC Networks International Merging Southern Europe & Latin American Units Under Antonio Ruiz

AMC Networks International is merging its Southern Europe and Latin America divisions under Antonio Ruiz, with John Huff set to exit as a result.

The units will operate as a single structure, with Ruiz, AMCNI’s Southern Europe Managing Director, and his senior team in Europe leading the operation. Following a transition period, Huffm the Managing Director of AMCNI – Latin America, will depart.

“This single leadership structure will enable us to deepen collaboration across markets with shared cultural ties, leverage our collective expertise and ultimately, be stronger together,” said Eduardo Zulueta, President of AMC Networks International.

“With Antonio expanding his responsibilities to include Lat Am, we are bringing a proven leader with deep operational experience into an even broader role. His leadership will help ensure we continue to deliver globally acclaimed series and locally produced originals that resonate with audiences across both regions.”

Zulueta praised Huff for his “leadership, dedication and significant contributions to the business” and said he “played a vital role in building the foundation we have today.”

AMCNI – Southern Europe operates several thematic channels and streaming services for the Spanish and Portuguese markets such as AMC and AMC+, Canal Hollywood, Canal Historia, Canal Cocina, VinTV, and AMC Channels.

The Latin American biz operates in Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking markets in Latin America and the Caribbean through the likes of AMC, AMC Series, El Gourmet, Film&Arts and Europa Europa.
