John Stamos Reveals Hair Transformation—Complete With Blonde Highlights

Everywhere you look, there’s John Stamos serving a new look.

Indeed, the Full House actor elevated his signature brown hair with blonde highlights, and this transformation would make Uncle Jesse—and his shiny, bodacious mullet—do a double take.  

In his Jan. 13 Instagram video, the 62-year-old shared a close look at his makeover. Explaining that he’s learning to “trust the process,” his longtime hairstylist Riawna Capri lightened the front section of his hair with aluminum foil. She then dyed the rest of John’s strands, which used to be a dark chocolate brown with a sliver of gray, black and tossed a few waves in his hair for more volume. 

This isn’t the first time the ER alum—who shares son Billy, 7, with wife Caitlin Stamos—has experimented with his hair. Last July, he posted a TikTok video of him cutting his own hair since Riawna was out of town. However, he didn’t complete the mission alone, as he called the hairdresser on Facetime to guide him through the process.
