Zocdoc Partners with Healthgrades to Provide Simpler Booking Experience

Zocdoc, the online health care marketplace that connects patients with doctors in-network and books appointments directly, announced today that it is partnering with Healthgrades, an online resource for patients to research physicians and hospitals, to expand booking capabilities and increase access to care.

Through this new partnership, patients can view real-time availability of top-rated doctors on Healthgrade and seamlessly schedule appointments through Zocdoc’s platform.

This is the first time a health care rating and patient review website has collaborated with Zocdoc in this way. Zocdoc said the partnerships will lead to more transparent and faster booking for users across its platform. When it launches, Zocdoc said this new feature will unlock more than 16.5 million hours of bookable appointments available during a 90-day period and promises that availability will continue to increase over time.

Why It Matters

With an increase in chronic health conditions and a projected physician shortage of up to 86,000 by 2036, it has become increasingly difficult to secure a doctor’s appointment.

Zocdoc said it recognizes finding a doctor remains a “frustrating experience,” as patients have to search through multiple directories, review sites and provider portals to vet qualifications, specialties and match with in-network providers.

The company said this new partnership with Healthgrades will move away from antiquated and inconvenient methods, bogging down patients.

According to a 2025 Zocdoc survey, one in four Americans said they “hate” calling the doctor’s office and more than half of patients who couldn’t reach their doctor by phone delayed care.

This partnership will make health care booking faster and more accessible by integrating Zocdoc into existing systems.

What To Know

Zocdoc said integrating Healthgrades will simplify “a previously disconnected process” by enabling Healthgrades users to search for doctors and instantly book appointments, powered by Zocdoc.

Healthgrades is a top platform for finding doctors and aims to be a leader in health care transparency by helping millions of patients find and schedule appointments with health care professionals.

Patients searching for care on Healthgrades can now find top-rated providers who accept their insurance, view real-time appointment availability and instantly book appointments online, without having to make a phone call.

Zocdoc adds that this partnership also benefits providers. Physicians who are listed on Healthgrades and active on Zocdoc will see a boost in additional reach and patient accessibility. The company said there is a one-time activation for automatic syndication.

The website already has more than 175 calendar integrations with commonly used health care scheduling tools. On providers’ Healthgrades profiles, there will be real-time availability to help physicians expand their reach and connect with patients.

What People Are Saying

Zocdoc Founder and CEO Oliver Kharraz said in a statement: “This partnership addresses a universal truth: when it comes to care, patients want fewer barriers. We spent years building the infrastructure that makes real-time booking possible, and now we’re opening our doors beyond our marketplace to power care everywhere. By powering booking for Healthgrades, we are helping more patients access care faster, and giving providers another way to meet them where they are.”

Healthgrades President Courtney Jeffus said in a statement: “Patients deserve a healthcare experience that is seamless, supportive, and tailored to their specific needs. Integrating Zocdoc’s real-time booking into Healthgrades’ doctor finder platform is an important step toward that vision. This partnership helps remove obstacles for people seeking support and creates a more connected journey—empowering consumers to move from insight to action and supporting providers in delivering timely, accessible care.”
