Greene Talent Rebrands As Artium Talent
EXCLUSIVE: Greene Talent, one of Los Angeles’ longstanding boutique agencies, has rebranded as Artium Talent as partners Azeem Chiba, Ethan Salter, and Kiernan McCaffrey move into full and sole ownership of the company.
The trio became equal partners in 2023 with founder Michael Greene, who, as Deadline previously reported, resigned from the company last month. With his exit, ownership has formally transitioned to Chiba, Salter, and McCaffrey.
Artium originates from Latin, meaning “of the arts.” The trio shares that the word Artium reflects their foundation in creative representation while signaling forward momentum, expression, and growth. Under the new name, the agency will continue representing a focused roster of established and emerging artists while expanding its footprint to meet shifting opportunities across film, TV, and new media.
“After decades of collaboration and commitment to our clients, we’re honored to lead the agency into its next chapter with a renewed focus on creative engagement and client advocacy. Our mission is to create meaningful opportunities for our clients and ensure every step forward is purposeful and aligned with their long-term goals,” the trio shared in a statement.
Collectively, Chiba, Salter and McCaffrey bring more than 50 years of experience to the agency.
Chiba worked as an assistant at the Special Artists Agency at the start of his career. He then joined the Susan Smith Company, where he gained invaluable industry experience. Building a solid foundation of expertise and relationships, he went on to become an agent at Greene Talent, where, according to McCaffrey, “Chiba devoted 27 years as a driving force behind the company’s success, emerging as one of its most respected and enduring cornerstones.”
The Endeavor mailroom is where Salter kicked off his career in the entertainment industry, working across both the talent and literary departments. He later joined Management 360 at the company’s founding. “Driven by a passion for developing artists,” he said, influenced his return to agenting by joining the boutique bi-coastal agency Henderson Hogan, where he ran the firm’s Los Angeles office before joining Greene Talent, where he has now spent 15 years.
At just 18 years of age, McCaffrey began his career at Greene Talent. Across his 17 years with the company, he steadily advanced through the ranks, culminating in his promotion to full-fledged agent in 2017. Throughout his tenure, McCaffrey “became a trusted leader and a key architect of the company’s enduring success, shaping its growth and reputation in the industry,” Salter touted.
