Yvette Nicole Brown, Loni Love, Amanda Kloots & Will Sasso Among Stars Serving Thanksgiving Meals To Critically Ill Angelenos With Project Angel Food

Thanksgiving can be a tricky time of year for many including the critically ill but a group of stars came out to help.

Stars including Yvette Nicole Brown, Loni Love, Amanda Kloots and Will Sasso joined charity Project Angel Food to serve thousands of Thanksgiving meals to those less fortunate than them. The group helped prepare and pack more than 3,000 traditional turkey dinners.

Project Angel Food is a nonprofit that delivers 1.5 million meals each year to the vulnerable across L.A.

The group helped deliver meals for Thanksgiving as well as extra meals because Project Angel Food is transitioning from its temporary Lincoln Heights kitchen to a new kitchen at The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation Campus, which will ultimately be able to produce three times as many meals.

Others joining in the charitable drive include Amy Yasbeck (Wings), Michael Hitchcock (The Lowdown), influencer and pop star Ava Maybee, Brooke Burns (Baywatch) and her husband Gavin O’Connor, director of The Accountant, ABC7 presenter Karl Schmid, stylist Lawrence Zarian, radio presenter Lisa Foxx, Mary-Margaret Humes (Dawson’s Creek), Nancy Lenehan (The Paper) and Rebecca Metz (Better Things).

Yvette Nicole Brown said, “It’s a difficult time for everybody right now. And everyone needs to show up and be one of the helpers like Mr. Rogers asked us to be.” Loni Love added, “It’s about family, it’s about giving back.”

Richard Ayoub, CEO of Project Angel Food said, “More than anything, I feel gratitude — for the nearly 6,000 people who volunteered with us this year, for those by our side this morning, and for the staff and donors who make this work possible. Project Angel Food exists to lift up our most weary neighbors, and on a day devoted to giving thanks we are especially grateful for all who share their time and resources so we can keep delivering medically tailored meals with love, dignity and compassion.”
