Austin Parks Foundation hosts citywide park cleanup event

AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Saturday, Austin Parks Foundation held its biannual “It’s My Park Day” volunteer event at dozens of parks, trails and greenbelts across the city.

Projects included litter cleanup, nature play mulching, invasive species removal and trail maintenance.

Organizers said the events help Austinites build community and connect with fellow park enthusiasts.
